Sinopse | Synopsis

PT | Numa viagem visual onírica inigualável, acompanhamos o que seria o primeiro sonho de um ser humano. Este sonho é uma mistura de cores e luzes suaves, como se a mente estivesse apenas a começar a aprender a criar imagens. Não há histórias ou personagens definidos, apenas sentimentos e imagens difusas, um pouco como um borrão ou uma pintura impressionista.

O sonho passa-se num espaço etéreo, onde o conceito de "tempo" e "lugar" ainda não existe de forma concreta, e acedemos a algo primitivo, quase instintivo, uma tentativa da mente de processar o que é real e o que é imaginado. Há a sensação de estar em “processo”, como se a mente ainda estivesse a ajustar os seus próprios mecanismos para começar a formar o que seriam mais tarde as memórias e os sonhos mais complexos. Há também uma noção de aproximação quase microscópica, em que contactamos com detalhes das superfícies do mundo, de artefactos imemoriais, enigmáticos, que podem pertencer a memórias passadas ou futuras, de um alguém incógnito.

A experiência visual num todo é um reflexo de perceções sensoriais ainda muito cruas: uma sensação de calor ou frio, sons indistintos, e talvez o movimento de algo indefinido que se aproxima e se clarifica: O corpo, o toque, a pele, o olho, a folha de uma planta...Ainda sem o entendimento usual das narrativas que virão com o crescimento, este projeto é algo profundamente ligado à sensação de estar vivo e à descoberta do mundo antes de acedermos ao mundo, onde viajamos à primeira obra de um ser humano: os seus sonhos no útero da mãe.

ENG | In an unparalleled dreamlike visual journey, we follow what would be the first dream of a human being. This dream is a mixture of colors and soft lights, as if the mind were just beginning to learn how to create images. There are no defined stories or characters, just feelings and fuzzy images, a bit like a blur or an impressionist painting.

The dream takes place in an ethereal space, where the concept of “time” and “place” doesn't yet exist in any concrete way, and we access something primitive, almost instinctive, an attempt by the mind to process what is real and what is imagined. There is a sense of being in “process”, as if the mind were still adjusting its own mechanisms to begin forming what would later become more complex memories and dreams. There is also a sense of almost microscopic closeness, in which we come into contact with details of the world's surfaces, of immemorial, enigmatic artifacts that may belong to past or future memories of someone incognito.

The visual experience as a whole is a reflection of sensory perceptions that are still very raw: a feeling of heat or cold, indistinct sounds, and perhaps the movement of something undefined that comes closer and becomes clearer: The body, the touch, the skin, the eye, the leaf of a plant... Still without the usual understanding of the narratives that will come with growth, this project is something deeply linked to the feeling of being alive and the discovery of the world before we access the world, where we travel to the first work of a human being: his dreams in his mother's womb.

PT | Rodrigo, de 23 anos, imagina mundos oníricos. Atua, filma, edita e escreve-os muito. Actor, Poeta, Realizador são todos (in)adequados para o descrever. O estado onírico, o arquetípico e o paradoxal são seus campos de ação favoritos, o seu plano é criar um universo próprio que combina cinema, performance e artes audiovisuais. Recentemente, adoptou o seu alter-ego que combina todas estas valências, "Onironauta" e já conta com duas longas-metragens "SUBMUNDUS"(2021) e "Fenda" (2023) e a curta premiada "Coreomania Hora de Ponta" com linguagem própria e que promete entrar no imaginário coletivo.

ENG | Rodrigo, 23, imagines dream worlds. He acts, films, edits and writes a lot. Actor, Poet, Director are all (in)adequate to describe him. The dream state, the archetypal and the paradoxical are his favorite fields of action, and his plan is to create a universe of his own that combines cinema, performance and audiovisual arts. Recently, he adopted his alter-ego that combines all these valences, "Onironauta" and already has two feature films "SUBMUNDUS" (2021) and "Fenda" (2023) and the award-winning short "Coreomania Hora de Ponta" with its own language that promises to enter the collective imagination.
