PT | Numa narrativa surrealista uma criatura antropomórfica desajustada procura integrar-se no lugar a que chama de casa. Diversos elementos expostos na sua habitação relatam, através de símbolos, uma vivência atual simultaneamente familiar e disseminada como peculiar e individual.

Numa analogia ao comportamento humano, a solitude é colocada em perspetiva na obra, referenciando a cegueira como uma vontade de esconder a verdade, a escolha de não observar e de nos rendermos à desconexão com nós mesmos e com a natureza.

Numa ode à tristeza o filme é uma porta aberta, um vislumbre do projeto expositivo que a dupla Time For The Oniric pretende apresentar na casa Mário Cesariny.

ENG | In a surrealist narrative, a misfit anthropomorphic creature tries to integrate into the place he calls home. Various elements displayed in his dwelling relate, through symbols, a current experience that is at once familiar and widespread, as well as peculiar and individual.

In an analogy to human behavior, solitude is put into perspective in the artwork, referencing blindness as a desire to hide the truth, the choice not to observe and to surrender to disconnection with ourselves and with nature.

In an ode to sadness, the film is an open door, a glimpse of the exhibition project that the duo Time For The Oniric intends to present at Casa Mário Cesariny.

PT | A dupla de artistas visuais Time For The Oniric é constituída por Micaela Guedes e Carina Prazeres, nascidas em 1997.

Numa expressão única, estendida à panóplia de possibilidades no panorama contemporâneo, a dupla cria um universo envolvente de cores agridoces e traços figurativos. Inspiradas no surrealismo, aborda na obra temas atuais e perturbadores em cenários distópicos que desenvolvem conceitos subconscientes e metafísicos carregando a obra de símbolos e metáforas num ambiente inspirador.

Desde que se conheceram, em 2017, na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, Micaela e Carina conectaram e fundiram a sua prática artística num autêntico universo estético. Os projetos são desde então desenvolvidos em total união ou focando em diferentes fases do processo.

Além de cursos por escolas como a Nextart, AR.CO e Lisbon School of Design, em 2019 ambas terminaram a licenciatura em Ciências da Arte e do Património na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa.

Contam com diversas exposições individuais e coletivas em galerias como a Zaratan e a Casa das Artes Bissaya Barreto em Coimbra, pintaram em festivais tais como o Stone Art em Porto de Mós e Artown em Ploiesti, Roménia. Atualmente enquanto a sua animação stop-motion é transmitida no Mount Pleasant Community Art Screen produzida pela Grunt Gallery, em Vancouver, Canadá, estão no estúdio em Lisboa dedicadas à sua prática artística.

ENG | The visual artist duo Time For The Oniric is made up of Micaela Guedes and Carina Prazeres, born in 1997.

In a unique expression, extended to the panoply of possibilities in the contemporary panorama, the duo creates an engaging universe of bittersweet colors and figurative features. Inspired by surrealism, their artwork addresses current and disturbing themes in dystopian scenarios that develop subconscious and metaphysical concepts, loading the work with symbols and metaphors in an inspiring environment.

Since they met in 2017 at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, Micaela and Carina have connected and merged their artistic practice into an authentic aesthetic universe. Since then, their projects have been developed in total unity or focusing on different stages of the process.

In addition to courses at schools such as Nextart, AR.CO and Lisbon School of Design, in 2019 they both completed a degree in Art and Heritage Sciences at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.

They have had several solo and group exhibitions at galleries such as Zaratan and Casa das Artes Bissaya Barreto in Coimbra, and have painted at festivals such as Stone Art in Porto de Mós and Artown in Ploiesti, Romania. Currently, while their stop-motion animation is broadcast on the Mount Pleasant Community Art Screen produced by the Grunt Gallery in Vancouver, Canada, they are in the studio in Lisbon dedicated to their artistic practice.
