PT | Uma exploração de cerâmicas e têxteis portugueses encontrados nos museus de Lisboa e na arquitetura da cidade, incorporando referências ao atual dilema cultural mundial. Adaptação desta exploração para criar uma montagem visual de pinturas quase realistas sobre papel.

PT | Nascido em Glasgow, Escócia, em 1953. Vive e trabalha em Brighton, Reino Unido.

Brian Britton é um artista interdisciplinar que explora a pintura sobre papel, a colagem, a fotografia, a escultura de objetos encontrados e a palavra escrita. O seu trabalho lida com a memória, a natureza, o dilema do atual clima político, ambiental e social e assuntos mundiais.

Viveu em Londres durante os anos 70 e 80, estudou na Central School Of Art (atualmente Central St Martins), em Nova Iorque, nos anos 90, onde criou cenários e figurinos para teatro marginal e expôs as suas pinturas em várias galerias influentes. Também passou períodos significativos de tempo no Japão, China, Índia e Grécia e mostrou o seu trabalho em França, bem como várias exposições individuais em Rennes.

Brian fez parte das subculturas de Londres nos anos 70 - trabalhou para Lucien Freud e a sua vida com músicos, artistas e personagens importantes como Jordan, Bertie Berlin está registada no livro Turn And Face The Strange de Jane England.

Brian Britton is a cross disciplinary artist exploring painting on paper, collage, photography, found object sculpture and the written word. His work deals with memory, nature, the dilemma of the current political, environmental, social climate and world affairs.

He has lived variously in London during the 1970-s and 80s, studied at Central School Of Art (Now Central St Martins), New York in the 1990s where he created sets and costumes for fringe theatre and showed his paintings in several influential galleries. He also spent significant periods of time in Japan, China, India  and Greece and has shown his work in France as well as several solo exhibitions in Rennes.

Brian was part of the sub cultures of London in the 1970s – he worked for Lucien Freud and his life with musician, artists and significant characters such as Jordan, Bertie Berlin is recorded the book Turn And Face The Strange by Jane England.
